This is a more panoramic shot of the dune that i climbed up and down. Its hard to capture the height in a photo - but this gives some indication. The little black dots that you can see in the greenery at the base of the dune are horses.

Wow! That's AMAZING! What an experience that must have been. Thanks for posting all these beautiful photos. They remind me how big the world is, and it's not all about my "little corner" here in the U.S.A.
thanks v of f. yep, the world is big, but i think we can all only deal with it one little corner at a time. i'm fond of the saying 'wherever you go, there you are'. by the way your corner of the world sounds very fascinating the way you write about it, thanks for sharing!
